Understanding Your Medicare Coverage Options
Original Medicare (Parts A & B)
Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care. Most people don't pay a premium for Part A if they or a spouse paid Medicare taxes while working.
Part B (Medical Insurance) covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services. Part B requires a monthly premium and is essential for comprehensive outpatient protection.
Private Coverage (Parts C & D)
Part C (Medicare Advantage) is an 'all-in-one' alternative to Original Medicare. These bundled plans are offered by private companies approved by Medicare and usually include Part A, Part B, and usually Part D. They often offer extra benefits like vision, hearing, and dental.
Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage) adds prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare and some other plans. These plans are offered by insurance companies approved by Medicare to help lower your out-of-pocket medication costs.
Choosing between these options can be overwhelming. We help you compare Supplements and Advantage plans side-by-side, ensuring you understand the costs, networks, and benefits involved .
